December 6, 1989 Remembrance

On Wednesday, December 6th at 12pm WISE NL is inviting members to join us as we attend the annual Vigil for the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. We come together to honour the young women whose lives were tragically taken too soon on December 6th, 1989.

If you cannot attend during the vigil, the Memorial University Sexual Harassment Office is hosting a Silent Vigil daily during the week of December 6th. They are inviting folks to come to the vigil table and complete concrete action cards. These are printed cards that ask us to commit to at least one thing we can do to prevent or address gender-based violence.
